Dococr Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This Policy applies to Dococr's websites, applications, and related OCR services. The service uses optical character recognition to identify visible characters in submitted documents and return extracted text.
2. Information we collect
- Account information, such as your name, email address, sign-in details, and preferences.
- Documents and images you submit, the text extracted from them, and corrections or export choices you make.
- Transaction information related to plans or processing credits. Payment providers handle full payment-card details under their own policies.
- Technical and usage data, such as device and browser type, IP address, timestamps, feature usage, file properties, processing status, diagnostics, and security events.
- Communications you send to support, privacy, or legal contacts.
3. How we use information
- Receive and process submitted documents and return extracted text.
- Operate accounts, usage limits, exports, billing, support, and service communications.
- Maintain reliability, diagnose errors, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect the service.
- Comply with law, enforce our Terms, and establish or defend legal claims.
- Improve OCR accuracy and product performance using aggregated or de-identified information where appropriate.
4. Document processing
A submitted file must be processed so the service can identify characters and return text. Processing may include temporary file conversion, page rendering, language detection, layout analysis, and transmission to contracted infrastructure or OCR processors.
Do not submit passwords, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, health records, biometric data, or other sensitive information unless you have determined that submission is necessary, lawful, and appropriate.
6. Browser storage, retention, and deletion
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember language and theme settings, preserve selected local state, measure reliability, and protect against fraud.
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes in this Policy. Retention varies by data type, account settings, processing status, contracts, and law. Files and extracted text may be held temporarily to complete processing or longer when you choose a storage, history, or export feature. Request deletion at [email protected], subject to lawful exceptions.
7. Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards, including access controls and protection in transit. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so submit only documents appropriate for online processing.
Information may be processed in countries where Dococr or its providers operate. Where required, we use recognized transfer safeguards and supplementary measures.
8. Children and privacy rights
The service is not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required locally. Contact [email protected] if you believe a child submitted personal information.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; appeal a decision; or complain to a data-protection authority. Submit requests to [email protected].
9. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide notice as required by law and update the effective date.
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to [email protected]. Legal and compliance questions may be sent to [email protected].
